HS & MS Ancient History/Geography ~ Mondays ~ 12:30pm-2:00pm

Winter/Spring Classes (17 weeks) ~ $258
January 7th, 2019 through May 6th, 2019
(This sections includes Story of The World Book 1 ~ Chapters 17-42)


This class 1 ½ hour class includes hands-on
Ancient History & Geography
activities correlated to Story of the World Book 1,
as well as comprehension assignments
and Time Line exercises.
HS & MS levels interact regularly,
yet have different expectations for this course.
You can also add a literature component
beyond Story Of The World
(we have 3 levels of recommended literature reading).

Classes meet once per week.
Mondays ~ 12:30pm-2:00pm
Homework is assigned and is expected to be completed
by the due dates listed in the syllabus.
A grade for each class is recommended by the tutor.
Most parents accept recommended grades,
yet we are facilitating your homeschool,
thus parents make the final grade determinations.

Artistic Quests ~ Thursdays ~ 12:30pm-2:00pm

This class mentors your student in
a variety of lessons or Art Quests
designed to reveal the artist within each student and involving:
Drawing
Water Color
Acrylics
Sculptures
3D Projects
and more!

Classes meet once per week.

expected to be completed by the

which will be passed out at the first class.

Advanced Art ~ Thursdays ~ 12:30pm-2:00pm

This class mentors your student in
order to build upon the art skills they already possess.
It is designed for students who have
already learned the basics of Art and
are ready to be challenged through
Advanced Art
Interpretations of the Masters.

Each student has to sign an
Advanced Art Commitment
AND their parent have to sign as witness.

This class involves:
Art Journaling
Drawing
Water Color
Acrylics
as well as Critiques from the Mentor, Peers, and Self.
Classes meet once per week.
Thursdays ~ 12:30pm-2:00pm
Homework is assigned and is
expected to be completed by the
due dates listed in the syllabus,
which will be passed out at the first class.
This class will have several homework assignments per week.

A grade for each class is recommended by the tutor.
Grading is based on:
participation, attitude, homework, and tests.
Most parents accept recommended grades,
yet we are facilitating your homeschool,

This class mentors your student in
the art of reasoning well
 utilizing videos, class discussions, and assignments related to
the book Introductory Logic by James Nance
providing your student with a thorough introduction to logical thought:
basic terms and definitions used in logic;
statements and their relationships;
syllogisms and their validity;
arguments in normal English; and
informal fallacies.
Classes meet once per week.
Tuesdays ~ 12:30pm-1:30pm
Homework is assigned and is
expected to be completed by the
due dates listed in the syllabus,
which will be passed out at the first class.
This class will have several homework assignments per week.
A grade for each class is recommended by the tutor.
Grading is based on:

Supplemental Activities includes:
Simulations,
Games,
Presentations,
Socratic Discussions,
Movies, and
other Hands-On Activities
that supplement the classes that we offer.

Families who may not be taking our other classes will still
find a benefit by having a variety of activities
for their student to broaden their education.
 


Classes meet for a two hour block once per week.
Thursdays ~ 9:45am-11:45am
Homework is sometimes assigned and is
expected to be completed by the
due dates listed in the syllabus,
which will be passed out at the first class.

A grade for each class is recommended by the tutor.

For High School Students this would be a ½ credit
elective class if taken for the full year.
